I felt myself being shaken awake. "We're here," Becca said. I was wide awake then. We grabbed our stuff and filed off the plane. Immediately we could feel the cultural difference. Standing with a sign outside the gate was a man holding a sign with my name on it.
We walked up to him when he inquired, "Ellouise Darey?"
"Yes, that's me and these are my friends, Anne and Becca. You are?"
He bowed slightly at the waist as he answered, "I am David Slightly. I was hired by your parents to be your driver or guide while you're staying in England. I can take you anywhere you want. Right now though we shall get your things and head to the hotel you will be rooming in during your stay in London. Miss Ellouise and friends if you would please follow me, we will be on our way." He turned and headed towards baggage claim.
I glanced at my friends and then followed David. "Nice to meet you David. I would appreciate it if you called me El or Ella."
He nodded, "Of course, Miss El."
My friends giggled as they grabbed their bags and David helped them load it up into a cart. Once we were all loaded, we walked outside to be greeted with a limo and tons of noise. We wouldn't have time to do anything tonight but hang out in the hotel.
When the knowledge of riding around London in a limo registered, we all froze. I looked at Anne then Becca. All of a sudden grins spread on all of our faces. This was going to be so awesome! I chuckled, "My parents rock!"
"You can say that again," Anne replied. David opened the door to the limo for us and we all giggled as we went inside. We sat in the limo just admiring the interior. There were drinks for us, which we all chose soda because we wanted to stay sober. David entered the car via the driver's side which we all suddenly were aware of how strange it was to see them on the opposite side the American's drive on. "Where would you ladies like to go for dinner?" David asked.
I glanced at the girls who knew exactly what I was thinking. "Can we go to Nandos, David?"
"If that is what you wish, Miss El, then yes," he replied.
"Then please, David, take us to Nandos!" I giggled when he took off. "This is going to be one epic trip!"
"You can say that again," Anne sighed.
"Oh yeah," Becca echoed then we simultaneously giggled.
A little while later we pulled up to Nandos. David opened the door for us and piled out. All of us girls fit in fashion-wise here. Well not the really crazy fashion, more like the One Direction fashion. Let's just say we were stylin'. Many people stopped to stare at us as we exited the limo, some even snapped photos of us like we were celebrities. We were shocked at that because we weren't celebrities. Did we even look like we were famous? I glanced at my friends as we walked into Nandos. Anne was in a navy blue jacket with a white blouse underneath and brown skinny jeans. She also had her favorite pair of Vans, which were a light gray. Her hair was curled in the wavy way she does it and her brown eyes were sparkling with joy while she was showing off that gorgeous straight, white smile.
I then glanced over at Becca with her dark skin and straight black hair, her blue eyes popping out from the contrast. She was wearing a blue v-neck shirt with white skinny jeans and her favorite white sandals. She was flashing her perfect white grin as well. I smiled and linked arms with my friends as we went up to place our order.
After we ordered we sat down at a table waiting for our order to be called up. People were still staring at us and taking pictures. Now this was super strange! I put my head down a bit as I whispered, "What's going on?" They all shrugged.
Our number was called and I went up to grab our order. "Hey, you look like these two girls in the magazine today," the server said.
"I'm sorry? What magazine?" I asked. Now I was really confused.
The server's brows knitted together. "This one." She handed me the magazine which had a picture of the boys on the front and then a tag underneath it that read, "Who are One Direction's secret guests this summer? Exclusive on page 42". My eyes widened with shock. "You can take it with you," the server whispered.
I looked back up at her, my eyes saying thank you. I tucked the magazine under my arm and grabbed the food. Us girls then walked quickly back to the limo. Only to be greeted by more photographers and now people were trying to ask us questions. David ran up to greet us and helped us get into the limo without incident.
Once inside we just stared at each other in shock. "What just happened?" Anne asked.
"Maybe this will answer our questions..." I replied pulling the magazine out from under my arm...
